Well, The Best of the Main Line party was last night. It was a fun event, with alot of great vendors, food and friends. Petah Bashano of Alvin's Flowers was there and I got my picture taken with his beautiful table display. I will be working with him and Renee Patrone in the next few weeks on a table display competition. It's for the Society of Wedding Planners and it's called "Whose Table is it Anyway". Basically, the best dressed table wins! I'll post pictures of the event and hopefully showing our winning table!!

Recycle your Wedding
I just recently came across this beautiful Wedding Blog for Brides called Ruffled. They have some very inspiring inspiration, but this idea blew me away. They have a whole section on the site devoted to Recycling your Wedding. Where brides sell there used wedding items and decor. This is such a fabulous idea and so green!
I just adore the handmade paper garland!

Happy Earth Day!
What a way to celebrate earth day then with a recycling post. All about wine corks!
Everytime I open a glass of wine, I save the cork. I just don't have the heart to throw them away. At the current moment, I have an overflowing vase of corks. So what to do with all those corks is the question?
Well, Terracyle has launch the Cork Brigade. A recycling program where you mail in your corks, and they turn them into a cool wine cork board. You can also make one yourself using an old tray, glue and the corks you have laying around.
Another idea is using wine or champagne corks as place cards. It's such an clever and inexpensive thing to recreate. You can also use them for table or menu numbers as well.
My favorite idea of all comes from Anthropologie. They have some of the most inspiring store displays. And each location is different than the others. They do everything from dye them, paint them, and hang them to create such beautiful patterns.
To coincide with the displays, they launched a month long Earth Day Campaign with the Cork Forest Conservation Alliance. To promote a cork recycling program where they made beautiful displays using cork.
They are hosting some instore workshops this weekend on "Crafting with Cork". If your live near an Anthropologie store, go check it out. Also, you might get some decor inspiration to use in your upcoming wedding or next party.

Love Letter Murals in Philadelphia
Just in time for Valentines Day is the Mural Arts Love Train. It runs Valentine’s Day weekend, Sunday, February 13 at 2:30 p.m.
On the Love Letter Train Tour, you view 50 rooftop murals along Market Street in Philadelphia. The project was done by artist Steve Powers who grew up in the West Philly. The murals express a love letter from a guy to a girl. So how sweet would this be for Valentine Day!
Here's another fun idea! Why not do what these two artists did, and use the Murals for your backdrop. Amanda from Love Me Do Photography did this fun engagement session photo shoot. What a clever idea!

Jack Daniel's Inspired Party and Invitations
This time last year, I was able to get involved in a "Jack Daniel's" inspired 40th Birthday Party. Not only did I get to design the invitations. I also had the chance to do the event styling. The concept started because he loved "Jack Daniel's". This was just so inspiring and I had so much fun coming up with the creative ideas for the event. One of the best things about this was that his name was Jack. How perfect was that! I started by creating an inspiration board with the color and concepts for the party.
The smile booth turned out to be such a huge hit. Also, everyone had fun with the props and created some great photos.
I hope you enjoyed this, as much as I had fun creating the event.
Next, I worked on the coming up with the invitations. I thought the "Jack Daniel's" label would make a perfect invitation, with a few minor adjustments.
I then began working on the design for the event. The plan was to make the space not look like a Fire House Hall as much as possible. We were going to have a dessert table a bar area, tables for setting, and a smile booth. I also used for a good bit of the decor "Jack Daniel's" liquor boxes. They were such a great prop and free made it all the better.
